I know, in the spiritual world I totally love to use the Islamic word Jihad for this struggle, but in today’s climate people would get caught up on semantics, and not the point of the interior struggle of old/new energy.
That is what this is about. I know I frustrate folks, mostly my spouse, where I will go hard core on a new interest, collect and do it for months-years, then reach a point of being completed with that interest and everything will go off to charity. Some look at it and g0—but what about all that money? I look at it as, I have had my learning/enjoyment and now want to pass that on to someone else (some would call this the Law of Circulation) and in giving we receive, for the positive energy space is renewed for a new pursuit.
As a spiritual director I work with all genders that struggle with this idea of release. They are trying to enter into a new interest but keep stumbling to start, and cannot figure out why. They have done soul work if there is something interior holding them back, and are ready to launch but still hit the block.
Walking through the journey on the interior, what is discovered is an exterior block. A past interest or life struggle where there is still totems/icons within the home tying them to the past they cannot move beyond.
A good example is someone wanting to reinvent their style, but still hold onto all the clothes of the old style? Instead of getting the new ready, and bagging up all the old ones for a local homeless shelter.
Just like needing to look at your life when you are in addiction recovery and getting rid of those things in your home space that are physical triggers; ending the relationships that are emotional/spiritual triggers….this is part of the cleanse that gets one on the right track of transformation and can be the harder steps than the actual interior soul work of recovery.
Or the battle of weight loss. It does not matter the gender, there is always the, “I will hold onto/store these clothes for when I fit into them again.” The challenge is that the pursuit of transformation is then weighed down by an anchor. It is an anchor of working on your exterior self to reclaim your past.
As we know, the soul work, energy work, treatment work that one does is to let go of the past, to be prepared to move into a presence of the present as one journeys to the future. The holding on of the clothes becomes an anchor to the past that the subconscious uses to defeat all the ground of holistic health gained by the interior work.
The release of the anchor into the flow of the Universe opens up new energy and new possibilities. When it is given to a local homeless shelter, it increases the vibration for these clothes then bless more lives transforming, gaining health and regaining homes.
So what truly is the battle of Holistic Health?
It is the battle of the whole person to release the soul sludge holding them back from being the “me” they are meant to be. Whether that sludge is physical things, people, belongings, mental baggage, emotional damage, or energetic corrosion…
The question is…are you ready to cut the anchor of the past, and be present in the now to be the best you, you can be?
